Scholarship Funds:

The Cindy Abovitz Memorial Scholarship Fund - (established through the Newtown Community Foundation) provides college scholarships to students at Council Rock South High School who plan to major in the health field or profession. (Students should apply through the high school guidance department.)

The Happ Grover Fund - provides college scholarships to Central Bucks School District area students who choose to attend Delaware Valley College or Bucks County Community College. (Students should apply through the high school guidance department or the financial aid office of either college.)

The Carolyn Benner Fund - provides four year college scholarships to Pennridge High School students who intend to major in music. (Students should apply through the guidance department of the high school.)

The Brandon W. Boger Memorial Scholarship Fund - provides college scholarships to students who are outstanding in sports, academics and leadership at Central Bucks East. (Students should apply through the guidance department at the high school.)

The Jake R. Revere Memorial Scholarship Fund - provides scholarships to students at Central Bucks East, with an interest in Theater Arts or community service. (students should apply through the guidance department of their high school)"

The Janet K. Koziol Memorial Scholarship Fund - provides college scholarships to girls who are members of the Central Bucks East High School Track Team. (Students should apply through the guidance department or the track coach.)

The Gina Narisi-Griffin and Victor Narisi Memorial Scholarship Fund - provides educational scholarships to two students at William Tennent High School, one to a student attending a college or university and planning to become a teacher, and one to a student who has overcome specific challenges and is planning to attend either college or a trade or occupational training school. (Students should apply through the high school guidance department.)

The Nathaniel Grupp Scholarship Fund - (established though the Newtown Community Foundation, a supporting organization of the Bucks County Foundation) provides scholarships to students at Council Rock High School facing special challenges. (Students should apply though the guidance department of the high school.)

The Abigail Fishberg Memorial Scholarship Fund - (established through the Newtown Community Foundation) provides college scholarships to students at Council Rock North and South High Schools who excel in Science and Math and who attended Maureen Welch Elementary School. (Students should apply through the guidance department at the high school.) www.abigailfishberg.com

The Michael Clark Memorial Scholarship Fund - (established through the Newtown Community Foundation) provides college scholarships to students at Council Rock North and South High Schools. (Students should apply through the high school guidance department.)

The Cole T. Ballay "Carpe Diem" Memorial Scholarship Fund - provides scholarships for continuing education to students who have played soccer at Central Bucks East High School. (Students should apply through the soccer coaches at the school.)

The 1st Lt. Colby James Umbrell Memorial Fund - provides scholarships to students who play football at Central Bucks East High School. (Students should apply through the football coaches at the school.)

The Steven Pannepacker Memorial Fund - (established through the Newtown Community Foundation) provides college scholarships for students at Council Rock North and South High Schools.(students should apply though their guidance departments)

The Robert Winters Memorial Fund - (established through the Newtown Community Foundation) provides college scholarships to students at Council Rock and Central Bucks High Schools. (students should apply though their guidance departments.)

Diane Orenburg Fernandez Memorial Scholarship Fund. –provides college scholarships to students at Council Rock South High School, interested in education. (Students should apply through the guidance department at the school.)

Maurice Neinken Scholarship Fund – provides scholarships to students whose families have a historical connection to the garment manufacturing industry in Upper Bucks County - primarily the Quakertown, Pennridge, Palisades, and Souderton School District regions. (students should apply through their school guidance department, or can call the Foundation at 215-997-8566 for an application – available in January)

 

Endowment Funds:

Doylestown Area FISH - a permanent fund established to provide annual income to the named organization for support of its general mission. (Help for poor or needy families and/or individuals in the Central Bucks area.) Contributions may be made to this fund at any time by contacting the Foundation.

Newtown Arts Company - (established through the Newtown Community Foundation) a permanent fund to support the general mission of the Arts Company. Contributions may be made to this fund at any time by contacting the organization or the Foundation.

Newtown Rotary Fund - (established through the Newtown Community Foundation) a permanent fund that benefits the many programs of the Newtown Rotary Club. Contributions may be made to this fund by contacting the Rotary.

The John E. Long Memorial Endowment Fund of Pearl S. Buck International – a permanent fund established in memory of past Board member John Long, to benefit the mission of PSBI.

 

Field of Interest Funds:

Konopka Fund - a permanent fund established to provide grants to non - profit organizations that help animals.

 

Donor Directed Funds:

The Carolyn Benner Fund - a permanent fund establishing annual grants to specific organizations, named by the donor.

 

Donor Advised Funds:

The BluBall Fund - a permanent fund created by business people in Central Bucks County who hold an annual "BluBall", to support area charitable organizations. Proceeds of the event partially fund this effort; the organizers of the event and fund initiate grant recommendations. (www.BluBall.com)

The Bristol Borough Education Fund - a permanent fund established to provide innovative educational opportunities to students within the Bristol Borough School District area, outside of the normal school curriculum, with grants recommended by educators and an Advisory Trustee Committee. Applications can be made through the school faculty or the Trustees.

The UBS Fund - (established through the Newtown Community Foundation) a permanent fund created by UBS to make annual grants based on the company representative’s recommendations. Applications are not being accepted; grant recommendations are initiated by the company.

 

Unrestricted Funds:

The Mary Ceader Trust - a permanent fund established to serve the best interests of Bucks County residents as determined by the Bucks County Foundation. (Grants awarded twice annually; application information available by calling the Foundation or from our website – www.buckscountyfoundation.org)

The Charter Donor Fund of the Newtown Community Foundation - a permanent fund that serves as the primary source for grant making in the Newtown Area. (Applications are not yet being accepted; information is available at www.Newtowncf.org.)
