UNRESTRICTED FUNDS

The Mary Ceader Trust – a permanent fund established to serve the best interests of Bucks County residents as determined by the Bucks County Foundation. Grants awarded twice annually; application information available by calling the Foundation or from our website. www.buckscountyfoundation.org

The La-Mel Garden Fund – a permanent fund established to make annual grants to non-profit agencies serving the Perkasie / Sellersville area of Bucks County. Application forms are available in September by calling the Foundation at 215-997-8566.

The Charter Donor Fund of the Newtown Community Foundation– a permanent fund that serves as the primary source for operating the Foundation in Newtown and grant making in the Newtown Area. Applications are not yet being accepted; information is available at www.Newtowncf.org.

DONOR ADVISED FUNDS

The Alan and Audrey Vogenberg Partnership Fund – established in 2017 the permanent, endowed fund provides grants for charitable programs and organizations as recommended by the donor advisor and approved by the Foundation’s Distribution Committee.

The BluBall Fund – a permanent fund created by businesspeople in Central Bucks County who hold an annual “BluBall” to support area charitable organizations. Proceeds of the event partially fund this effort; the organizers of the event and fund initiate grant recommendations.

The Bristol Borough Education Fund – a permanent fund established to provide innovative educational opportunities to students within the Bristol Borough School District area, outside of the normal school curriculum, with grants recommended by educators and an Advisory Trustee Committee. Applications can be made through the school faculty or the Trustees.

The Joseph Poretta Memorial Fund – Established in 2024 to honor the life of Joseph Poretta. The fund’s area of focus will aim to advance organizations meaningful to the family and their local community, as recommended by the Poretta family.

The Linda Cacossa Educational Trust – a permanent, endowed fund created to support the education of and/or professional development of women pursing the field or advancing in the field of historic preservation, land conservation or environmental sciences.

Madeleine Irene Antunes “Be Maddie” Memorial Fund – “For but a brief time, an angel walked among us…”  The “Be Maddie” fund was established by Madeleine’s mother in memory of daughter, Madeleine Irene “Maddie” Antunes.

The Vernon and Jean Wehrung Family Fund – established in 2018, the fund provides grants for charitable programs and organizations as recommended by the donor advisor and approved by the Foundation’s Distribution Committee.

DONOR DIRECTED FUNDS

The Carolyn Benner Fund – a permanent fund establishing annual grants to specific organizations, named by the donor.

The Charlotte Miller Kane Fund – permanent fund establishing annual grants to specific organizations, named by the donor.

Field of Interest Funds

Konopka Fund – a permanent fund established to provide grants to non-profit organizations that help animals.

SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS

Bucks County Foundation staff and trustees are honored and humbled to work with families, friends, and neighbors of individuals who are no longer with us. Each memorial scholarship is established to recognize the contributions of those who the funds are named after have made.

These funds allow donors to invest in the future by helping deserving students pursue higher education. Students benefit from financial assistance as well as the academic recognition of being a scholarship recipient.

BUCKS COUNTY FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS:

1st Lt. Colby James Umbrell Memorial Scholarship – provides scholarships to students who play football or baseball at Central Bucks East High School.

Anna Mae & William (Pete) Loftus Memorial Scholarship – provides scholarships to students from Harry S. Truman High School, residing in Levittown, pursuing a career in nursing, political science, law, or other social science, and who have a distinguished academic record.

BC Chapter of the American Institute of Architects George J. Donovan Memorial Scholarship – provides scholarships to students who attend high school in Bucks County and plan to a career in Architecture by pursuing a major such as, but not limited to, Architecture, Architecture Engineering, Civil Engineering, CAD Technology Sustainable Design.

Bob Schultz Memorial Scholarship – provides scholarships to Level 9/10 USAG registered gymnasts in Pennsylvania.

Brandon W. Boger Memorial Scholarship – provides scholarships to students who are outstanding in sports, academics, and leadership at Central Bucks East High School.

Bristol Jewish Center Scholarship – provides scholarships to students at Bristol Borough High School with an interest in history and a GPA between 2.5 and 3.5.

Carolyn Benner – provides four-year scholarships to Pennridge High School students who intend to major in music.

Cole T. Ballay “Carpe Diem” Memorial Scholarship – provides scholarships to students who have played soccer at Central Bucks East High School. www.coleballay.org

David Anthony Williams Memorial Scholarship – provides scholarships to students at Central Bucks West High School who plan to major in music or for whom music has been a major influence in the lives.

Dominic Garofalo Memorial Scholarship – provides scholarships to students at Bensalem and Neshaminy High Schools who are planning to attend Bucks County Community College. This fund also provides scholarships to students at Girard College High School who plan to major in a science field.

Dr. Wieslaw J. Zielinski Memorial Scholarship – provides scholarships to students attending Pennsbury High School who plan to major in a science field of study, especially with a focus on majoring in physical and/or environmental science fields of study. Students must also demonstrate participation in community service and leadership.

Emand Hamad, M.D. Healthcare Career Scholarship – provides scholarships to students planning on majoring in a healthcare major.

Erin Prediger Memorial Scholarship for Sportsmanship – provides scholarships to female students at Souderton Area High School who have participated in sports and demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship and character.

Gina Narisi-Griffin Memorial Scholarship – provides scholarships to students at William Tennent High School planning to major in education.

Happ Grover Scholarship – provides scholarships to Central Bucks School District area students who choose to attend Delaware Valley College or Bucks County Community College. This scholarship is not available for students to apply online and is awarded through the colleges.

Hawthorne Nathanial “Nat” Duckett Jr. Black Student Athlete Scholarship – provides scholarships to students at Central Bucks West High School who demonstrate outstanding athletic and community service commitment.

Kathryn Ritchie McKenna Scholarship – provides scholarships to students meeting specific criteria at William Tennent High School.

Jake R. Revere Memorial Scholarship – provides scholarships to students at Central Bucks East High School with an interest in Theater Arts and/or community service.

James R. Cadwallader III Scholarship – provides scholarships to students with financial needs, attending Bucks County public high schools, who need assistance to attend college, technical school, or other accredited institution.

Janet K. Koziol Memorial Scholarship – provides college scholarships to female students who are members of the Central Bucks East High School track team.

The Jedd Hopkins Memorial Scholarship – provides scholarships to students at Central Bucks West High School with an interest in aeronautics, engineering, and/or music.

Laura Jean Smith Memorial Scholarship – provides scholarships to students from Pennridge High School who demonstrate academic excellence, a commitment to community service, and have suffered a family loss.

Linda-Lee Sinclair (HHS 1959) Student Athlete Scholarship – provides scholarships to female athletes at Haverford High School.

Elmer Praul Jr. (CRN 1960) Student Athlete – provides scholarships to student athletes at Council Rock North High School.

Maurice Neinken Scholarship – provides scholarships to students with financial needs, preferably to those from families with a historical connection to the garment manufacturing industry in Upper Bucks or Eastern Montgomery County- primarily the Quakertown, Pennridge, Palisades, and Souderton school district regions.

Michael Wayne Grim Memorial Scholarship – provides scholarships to students from Central Bucks High School East who are a varsity letter winner, participates in community service, maintains at least a 3.85 GPA while demonstrating leadership, maturity and sportsmanship qualities.

Mike Pettine Memorial Football Scholarship – provides scholarships to graduating members of the Central Bucks West High School football team.

Mike Pettine Memorial Football Scholarship for Outstanding Female Athlete – provides scholarships to female athletes from Central Bucks High School West who play variety sports and display the tenacity and will to achieve that Coach Mike Pettine inspired.

Millennium Medical Women in Science and Medicine Scholarship – provides scholarships to students attending high school in Bucks County who are planning to pursue a professional career in a scientific or medical related field such as Pre-Med, Nursing, Biology, Pharmacy, Chemistry, etc.

Mindy Wolinksy “Make a Difference” Memorial Scholarship – provides scholarships for students who attended Mill Creek Elementary School and are now graduating from Central Bucks High School South. This award is intended to recognize the difference one person can make in someone else’s life, no matter how big or how small.

Mrs. Mont’s “Pursuit of Excellence in English” Scholarship – provides scholarships to students Writing at Pennview Memorial High School, in Pennview, NJ. who are planning to major in English or Writing.

The Unsung Hero Scholarship – provides scholarships to students from Central Bucks West High School who have served as student team manager.

Victor Narisi Memorial Scholarship – provides scholarships to students at William Tennent High school who has overcome adversity and is planning to attend either college or a trade or occupational school.

NEWTOWN COMMUNITY FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS:

Abigail Fishberg and Gregory Fishberg Memorial Scholarship (NCF) – provides scholarships to students at Council Rock North and South High Schools who excel in Science and Math and who attended Maureen Welch Elementary School.

Carleigh Marie Jones Memorial Scholarship (NCF) – provides scholarships for students at Council Rock High School South who excel in academic studies and participates in extracurricular activities and community service.

Cindy Abovitz Memorial Scholarship (NCF) – provides scholarships to students at Council Rock South High School who plan to major in the health field or profession.

Cullen Keffer Memorial Lacrosse Scholarship (NCF) – provides scholarships to students who played on the lacrosse team at Council Rock South High School.

Dennis E. Warg Scholarship (NCF) – provides scholarships for students at Council Rock North and South High Schools who are athletes, representing their school, community and families with integrity and character, preference given to education majors.

Diane Orenberg Fernandez Memorial Scholarship (NCF) – provides scholarships to students at Council Rock South High Schoolwho excel in academic studies and participates in extracurricular activities and community service.

Dick Rabberman Memorial Scholarship (NCF) – provides scholarships to students attending Council Rock South High School who excel in academic studies and participates in extracurricular activities and community service.

Janet Yanny Memorial Scholarship Fund (NCF) – provides scholarships to students at Council Rock South High School, who attended Holland Middle School. Preference is given to those planning to major in education.

Leaders Creating Leaders (NCF) – provides scholarships to students at Council Rock South High School who have led a service organization, club, group, business or philanthropic effort and delegated significant responsibility to other teens to help them learn to lead in a supportive environment.

Megan Longo Villanella Memorial Scholarship (NCF) – provides scholarships to female graduating seniors from Council Rock North High School who have played in varsity level sports and who have participated in the arts.

Nina Kapur Memorial Scholarship (NCF) – provides scholarships to students at Council Rock North High School who demonstrate academic effort and civic engagement, with a preference for those planning to major in Communications or Journalism.

Richard B. Bumm Sr. Memorial Scholarship (NCF) – provides scholarships to students in Council Rock High School North and South who plan to major in History or Secondary Education.

Robert B. Homonay Memorial Music Scholarship (NCF) – provides scholarships to students at Council Rock North High School who have played in the school band and intend to continue their study of music in college.

Robert Winters Memorial Scholarship (NCF) – provides scholarships to students who plan to major in education at Council Rock and Central Bucks High Schools.

Ryan Lesher Student Athlete Memorial Scholarship (NCF) – provides scholarships to Council Rock South and North High Schools for students who participated in multiple sports and maintained a GPA over 3.0.

Scott Mills Memorial Scholarship Fund (NCF) – provides scholarships to students at Council Rock South High School who attended Holland Middle School, are active in community activities, and have participated in softball, basketball, or field hockey.

Shamus Digney Memorial Scholarship (NCF) – provides scholarships to students at Council Rock South High School who have played a sport, demonstrated outstanding enthusiasm and effort, and have a financial need.

Steven Pannepacker Memorial Scholarship (NCF) – provides scholarships to students at Council Rock North and South High Schools who excel in academic studies and participates in extracurricular activities and community service.

Success Scholarship (NCF) – provides scholarships to students in Council Rock School District who have received Emotional Support services during their school years.

Tini Brothers Memorial Scholarship Fund (NCF) – provides scholarships to students at Council Rock North who have given back to their community.

Agency Endowment Funds

Doylestown Area FISH – a permanent fund established to provide annual income to the named organization for support of its general mission. Bristol Jewish Center Endowment for Congregation Kol Emet Religious School – a permanent fund established to provide annual support for the general educational needs of the Kol Emet Religious School in Yardley. Bucks County Intermediate Unit #22 – Education Programs Fund- this fund supports programs and services of the Bucks County Intermediate Unit #22 which specifically support the educational and social needs of all learners’ families, staff, Bucks County school districts and/or the Bucks County community. https://www.bucksiu.org/

The Bucks County Music Project – TBCMP is a non-profit organization that will use music as a tool to significantly enhance the quality of life for those in our community. Through a combination of revenue generation and charitable support, we will develop a year-round venue, rehearsal and recording space, hold outdoor events, provide a platform for emerging talent, support music programs, create unique experiences and opportunities and generate educational opportunities for those that want to build a sustainable career in the performing arts.
